The purpose of this article is to reflect on the possible pursuit of a Jewish identity by Jorge Luis Borges, whose name over the years became of vital importance to world literature in general and to Argentina in particular, as if he were an Aleph where everything begins and everything comes together. That search, in part, has contributed to Borges' mirror like, labyrinthine and mystical writing having a goal not far from that of James Joyce when he wrote Ulysses, that of keeping literary critics busy for a few hundred years. So, by the fusion of literary games and possibly deeper needs, Borges had a very close approach to Judaism, identifying with it and making it perhaps a key symptom for both his work and your life.
