This paper presents a timetabling problem called University Course Timetabling Problem. The technique used to solve this problem is based on the Hypercube framework applied to Ant Colony Optimization. Ant Colony Optimization is an efficient Swarm Intelligence technique inspired from the foraging behaviour of real ant colonies. We show the problem and the resolution design using this framework. We applied the framework to different competition instances to compare our results with other techniques and then we solved some practical cases based in two Chilean universities. The results show that our proposal is efficient and robust.
