We will analyze a fragment of the biographical speech by Maria Isabel, a member of the Movement of the Revolutionary Left (MIR), who was kidnapped and detained by the security services of the Pinochet dictatorship from February 1975 until September 1976. From her narration, it is analyzed the experience in the torture and detention centers of Villa Grimaldi, Tres and Cuatro Alamos, as a generating dimension of new contradictions and collective political reflections. These disputes would have propelled the emergence of a critical thinking in a group of women from the MIR, who began while arrested an incipient feminist critique of the gender practices and conceptions of the party, contributing to its denaturalization.
