Among the triggering elements of architectonic modernity, it is customary to quote the contacts between European artistic avant-garde and contemporary architectonic discourse. In Chile, that scarce and limited bond has been omitted by historiography; although it was exiguous-needs to be said-but not inexistent. This work aims at establishing one of the threads contributing to the network in the framework of the national modern architecture. Its scopes range from the first literary contacts with the young Ch. E Jeanneret in the 20s to the alternatives that link Le Corbusier with his projects and paradigmatic texts disseminated in Chile in the 30s. The thread are Chilean artists and architects and their aspirational actions in favor of the national artistic and architectonic transformation under contemporary modernizing ideas.
