Appearances of the "translation for itself" in his written and filmed work will be first commented to later refer to his theoretical reflections upon the "intersemiotic translation" processes. Finally, some considerations on how filmmaking is translated into forms of organization, reasons and stories taken from works of art, particularly from literature, as an instance for what the recent theory calls "transmediality" will be proposed.
