This brief text offers a critique of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari's concept of nomadism. It is shown that 'nomadism' functions as a compilation of unresolved contradictions, such as those of movement and rest, anarchy and order, numeric abstraction and concrete placement. I argue that, in the last instance, this concept bears allegiance to its etymological provenance from the Greek nomos and that it veers on the side of an economy, rather than an ecology, of being.
