The article analyzes the unpublished correspondence between Walter Blumenfeld--the german-born, peruvian nationalized psychologist considered to be the founder of scientific psychology in Peru--and the American psychologist Edwin Boring, notorious figure of psychological science known for his experimental and historical research. For this purpose, a descriptive mixed-methods study was conducted. The study carried out quantitative and qualitative analysis of seven missives exchanged between the two psychologists in the period between 1956-1958. It was evidenced that the main topic of communication was the defense of nature and the relevance of the book Introduction to Experimental Psychology. Also, a vizualisation is made of the historical circumstances that crossed W. Blumenfeld professional life, his condition as an inmigrant, his inclusion to the Peruvian reality, and his quest for recognition of his intellectual production in the international context of psychology.
