This paper describes the critical figures of mesianism and baroque ethos as fundamental categories to understand Latin American subaltern praxis. Considering the figure of the baroque ethos as a category that confronts the crucial elements of modern episteme, its functional and fictional logic, it is considered a baroque resistance as a form of survival to the logic of Western domination. In the case of mesianism as political category is postulated a way of re-existence by appealing to the critical exteriority of the excluded, those that come from both the Semitic culture facing the Greco-Roman Totality and indigenous cultures from the Spanish conquest, with the common aim to do inoperative the system of domination, through a withdrawal into the mere contingency and the reconsideration of the forms and particular uses of life, which cannot be subsumed for the capitalist system and the political and legal order.
