To talk about Literature and Philosophy is to talk about the man's need to apprehend a language that escapes into the ordinary methods of the comprehension; it's besides, his agonizing urgency to understand the world around. Jose Luis Borges's meaning exceeds a strictly conceived rhetoric of the literary panorama in order to be placed into the intellectual fascinations of Mythology, Theology or Philosophy. His versatile labor as a poet places him is a privileged place in the Latin-American culture, where production and reception processes from poetical speech results in the modulation of a particular vision of reality. Having said that, his contribution tackles the study of his composition "Los espejos" (El hacedor, 1960) from the Schopenhauer existentialist perspective. The World as Will and Representation allows to specifying the keys of access to decode the metaphorical mirror construction in Borges poetry through fantasy and reality concepts in addition to infinity and eternity in his serene expression. Having the representation and Schopenhauer "volutas" as the background into consideration, "Los espejos" study implies a reconsideration about connections between Literature and Philosophy, whose languages and ontological loans remain sublimated under a theatrical coverage of reality and the individual in the scene.
