This article has two objectives. First, identify the studies and local authors who have investigated about the history of "Gran Concepcion", specifically the 1973 coup and the civic-military dictatorship. Second, analyse very accurately the omissions and the absence of information in the studies related to the new recent political history. This will lead us to propose some new ways to revitalize the recent political history, but from a regional perspective.
