In this text a basis for an interpretation of intuition and construction in Kant is searched. In order to accomplish that goal, Hintikka's renowned interpretation is analized. This analysis shows that this interpretation exhibits some weaknesses, however, it is adopted from it that an understanding of intuition and construction can be reached by linking them to some ideas of ancient Greek philosophers and mathematicians, above all Proclus and Euclid. More specifically, it is shown that a reasonable starting point to develop an interpretation of intuition and construction consists in linking them to the two conclusions which Proclus mentions in his Commentary on Book I of Euclid's Elements. However, it must be taken into account that such links are only reasonable within the domain of proofs, since Kant states that construction is also present in definitions and theorems.
