The "GNL Penco" or "Octopus" gas terminal project in Penco-Lirquen Commune, Chile, is a socio-environmental conflict marked by citizen disputes against the project that will impact the seaside town and at the same time is a practical demonstration of forms adopted by neoliberalism in the local space. Through the investment in the Bay of Concepcion in charge of the company Biobio Genera and their connections with agents, markets and international business networks. Also, as an example of processes not only existing in Chile, also as a reflection of others already begun in Latin America. Our work seek to describe and analyze the main features, vision, mission, objectives and links of the company Biobio Genera, and how this business agent is eventually aligned with a pattern and network of agents that promote the processes of accumulation by dispossession, particularly in the Penco-Lirquen area. Using collaborative ethnography, we engage as epistemic partners of our research those territorial actors immersed in the conflict, so an open and dialogic research process is established where we co-construct a shared research agenda, incorporating joint reflexivity with them.
