Recognizing the importance of training in research to future social workers, this work search to answer, based on the case of the career of Social Work from Alberto Hurtado University (Chile), what are the points of articulation between research and intervention, and what are the teaching-learning strategies developed to facilitate the approach of future social workers to a research that recognize them. Methodologically, uses the documentary research, reviewing, among others, theses and coursework programs. Some results show that this articulation is given in an ethical / political level and an epistemological one, secondly, that teaching learning strategies are based on the promotion of critical reflection on social phenomena. It concludes, among others, that it should not be taught an "unique" way to investigate but, rather, knowing the variety of possible tools, understand them to the service of a situated approximation of social phenomena for, from there, to develop processes that articulating research and intervention, can to dialogue with the contexts to intervene.
