The objective of the research was to examine the potential of the PREFIT Battery as a tool for assessing physical condition in Chilean preschool children, addressing its relationship with health indicators. An exploratory review was carried out in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, focusing on studies from the last 10 years that used the complete PREFIT Battery in children aged 3 to 5 years, exploring associations with health variables, excluding cognitive aspects. 13 relevant studies were identified. The main findings revealed a direct connection between good physical condition and better health indicators, contrasting with higher levels of sedentary lifestyle, obesity and poorer health linked to poor physical condition. In addition, it was observed that factors such as the educational level of the parents, the family socioeconomic status and diet influence the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits. These results support the use of the PREFIT Battery as a potential tool for the evaluation of physical condition in Chilean preschoolers, offering the possibility of evaluating and monitoring interventions aimed at improving health and well-being in this age group.
