Background. Child sexual abuse is a crime that transcends the direct victims and impacts their significant su-rroundings. The literature review shows little development on its effects on families and their passage through specialized institutions. The objective of this research is to analyze the experiences of non-offending parental figures in the interaction with psychosocial-legal intervention programs aimed at child victims of sexual abuse and their families in the post-disclosure period. Method. With a qualitative methodology, we used the interpretative-phenomenological analysis (IPA), interviewing 9 non-offending parents about their experiences in the interaction with care programs after the disclosure of sexual abuse. The results show that there are coincidences and misun-derstandings between parents and institutions, in which needs and expectations are satisfied in some areas and frustrated in others. As facilitators, the mobilization of adult figures to manage support, information and gui-dance, and empathetic and non-judgmental attention from professionals stand out. As difficulties, bureaucratic institutional procedures, technical language, lack of institutional coordination and revictimizing practices towards children and adult figures. It is concluded that the results allow us to understand the process experienced by the non-offending adult figures in the period after the disclosure, in which narratives of disorganization and loss of control stand out, as well as of agency and reorganization in pursuit of the protection and recovery of their children.
