The missing holotype depository information, along with a diagnosis of Luispenaia paulseni new species, is provided to make the name available under the conditions required by the ICZN (1999). Mondaca et al. (2019) reviewed the species of the genus Luispenaia Martínez, 1972 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae: Tanyproctini) from the Atacama Desert in northern Chile and described three new species. In that contribution, the holotype depository was not included for one of the new species, Luispenaia paulseni. According to the ICZN (1999: Article 16.4.2), the name is not available unless the holotype deposition is explicitly stated. Here, we rectify this problem and provide a diagnosis to make the name available under the conditions required by the ICZN (1999). The data from the holotype labels and the rest of the specimens in the type series are cited verbatim.
