This study launches a bibliometric study to examine the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the labour market, focusing on its evolution over time. The objective is to reveal the trends and thematic groupings in global re-search on AI and the labour market. Results on the keywords reveal seven relevant clusters which are fundamental to illustrate the cited trends. The temporal evolution of keywords analysis points to an evolutionary trend in research, moving from broader fields, such as computer science, to more specific disciplines and even socio-economic implications. In brief, results indicate a real transformation on the employment sector due to the IA effect, where the evolutionary processes entail a transformation of occupations and job profiles, changes in forms of employment and an increased role of the platform economy.
