The article proposes to socialize among the university teaching community, a theoretical revision on the contemporary tendencies in the didactic formation of the student. It is part of the result of the institutional research project "The didactic training of the student of Bachelor of Education to direct the solution of problems", which is developed in the University "Jose Marti Perez". The authors make a critical review of various bibliographical sources and present the current trend in Cuba for the initial training of special education teachers, analyzing the model of didactic training of the professional from the Cuban perspective.
