In the context of the departures from Chile to foreign countries of custodial mothers, accompanied by their children and/or daughters, the purpose of this article is to analyze the relevance of the patrimonial benefit derived from such departures. The above, for the purpose of granting the corresponding judicial authorization in cases of opposition of the other parent. In this order of ideas, the patrimonial aspect is studied as an integral part of the best interest principle, its normative recognition and then the application of this benefit by Chilean jurisprudence is discussed.
