Objective: To estimate survival in patients with breast cancer and evaluate the clinical and histological factors that influence it. Method: Retrospective dynamic cohort of 676 patients, admitted between January 26, 2011 and November 30, 2021, with follow-up time of at least one year, which was elaborated using the database of the Unidad Registro Hospitalario de Cáncer del Hospital Base San José Osorno. Results: The median age at diagnosis was 61 years (range 26-97). The most common stage was stage II (41%), followed by stage I (23%). 8% of patients had a relapse. Overall survival at 5 and 10 years of follow-up was 85% and 79%, respectively. According to the multivariate analysis: stage III (HR 10.11; CI95 3.05-33.52), stage IV (HR 49.34; CI95 14.52-167.64), male sex (HR 6.74; CI95 1.58-28.6), presence of relapse (HR 6.26; CI95 3.89-10.09) and triple negative biological subtype (HR 1.84; CI95 1.03-3.29), had a statistically sig-nificant association with lower survival. Conclusions: This cohort of breast cancer patients showed high survival, above the national average and comparable with that obtained in developed countries. Stages III and IV, male sex, the presence of relapse and triple negative biological subtype are associated with lower survival in patients with breast cancer.
