Objective: To adapt and validate the content and reliability in the Chilean population of the IN-PATSAT32 questionnaire for users of the Palliative Care Program in home care, evaluating the psychometric characteristics of the scale. Methods: Content validation study consisting of expert evaluation and analysis of the internal consistency and construct validity of the instrument IN-PATSAT32 with cancer for users in palliative care, Chilean version through exploratory factor analysis. Results: The reliability analysis of the test demonstrated good performance with a value of α = 0.97 on the overall scale, and an alpha greater than 0.96 for each item analyzed separately. Concerning the factorial structure of the instrument, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted using the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure of sampling adequacy (KMO = 0.76) and Bartlett’s test of sphericity, which was statistically significant (χ2 = 32.49; p = 0.00). Conclusion: The reliability and construct validity of the instrument are comparable to those found in other studies, demonstrating its adequate properties and effectiveness in a different cultural environment. The questionnaire proved reliable for use in a population of oncological palliative care users at home. The questionnaire is proposed as an evaluation tool for work with oncological palliative care users at home to measure and enhance satisfaction levels.
