In the field of electricity, the Technical Rules issued by the National Energy Commission have emerged in recent years as one of the most significant regulatory instruments within the sector, considering their scope, the extent of their purpose, as well as their significant increase, both in number and in the matters regulated by them. Given their strategic importance, this article analyzes the main elements of the Technical Standards, in addition to their legal nature, raising the need of implementing a specialized control mechanism to ensure an adequate review of the content and legality of these standards.
