Societies transmit their culture through the expressions of the different media, which play a crucial role as a source for the creation of socially accepted identities. Therefore, by means of a quantitative study, through the framing theory, we sought to analyze the presence of women as news agents in Chilean written media. For this purpose, a selection of written press media was carried out and 236 publications were analyzed. The findings obtained show women as news agents, linked mainly to work and education, being scarcely represented in economic topics or in other public spaces. Therefore, it is suggested that the written media can systematically contribute to making the presence of women in non-stereotypical roles more visible.
