Objective: To analyze the relationship between physical activity levels, salivary pH, and cariogenic risk in wind instrument musicians from orchestras in the Biobío region, Chile. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional correlational study was conducted at Universidad Nacional Andrés Bello (March-August 2024) with 10 students (mean age 29.2 ± 4.3 years), classified with overweight (BMI = 25.2 ± 1.1), high physical activity (IPAQ = 2953 ± 1286.8 METs), and high cariogenic risk (Lipari & Andrade = 80.5 ± 19 points). Salivary pH was recorded 5 minutes before and 30 minutes after the musical performance. Analysis used Student's t-test and Spearman's correlation, with effect size determined by Cohen's d. Results: Salivary pH significantly acidified after the intervention (p < 0,001; d = 0,6), with no significant associations with physical activity (r = 0,03; p = 0,93), cariogenic risk (r = 0,26; p = 0,48), or body composition (r = 0,38; p = 0,28). Conclusion: Prolonged exposure to wind instruments or a high level of musical physical activity can acidify oral pH, despite the protective effects of anaerobic activity, suggesting a limited effect. Future research should include a comprehensive evaluation of multiple factors to better understand the impact of exercise on oral health in musical contexts.
