This article contributes to reflect on the contributions made by the Chilean intellectual Amanda Labarca in the hybridizations between philosophy and psychology, which allows us to reflect on the reflections and debates that arose in the educational field in the transition from the nineteenth to the twentieth century. Primary sources were mainly used to address various aspects of the work of Amanda Labarca and her early works related to education and teaching were used. Relevance was assigned to her work Lecciones de Filosofía (1922), which, being an eminently philosophical text, also reflects the preludes of general and educational psychology in Chile, which are presented in a period of immersion in which a young Labarca studied in depth and disseminated the main American authors who forged the links between both disciplines (philosophy and psychology).
