The death of a child during gestation is a painful moment, full of negative feelings on the part of the mother, father, and family who are awaiting the arrival of a being that will change their lives. This process is not alien to the health personnel who provide care during this difficult time. According to the literature, health personnel are faced with a situation without the necessary tools to provide quality care with a compassionate approach. The aim of this article is to reflect on the case of a mother going through a perinatal bereavement, made invisible by the healthcare personnel. A narration is made from the context that involves the mother, father, and family, their loss and experience of bereavement, conceptualizing the main notions of the raised subject, to then apply the bioethical discernment of the case. A proposal for the management of perinatal grief is presented, in order to contribute to the social and multidisciplinary reflection of compassion in the care of gestational death. It is concluded that although progress has been made in this area worldwide, compliance with the regulations should be monitored, in addition to contributing to the process from the individual responsibility.
