Social movements on a global level act influenced by the contemporary framework of a visual culture. In feminist demonstrations this has been translated into a street staging characterized by emotional expression. The awareness of a constant audience is part of the ingredients to be considered in the activist action insofar as the movement's listening possibilities are intertwined with their attention and affective involvement. This article presents a qualitative photographic analysis of two Chilean feminist marches (November 25 and March 8) observed over three years, highlighting four emotions (pain, anger, defiance, pride) displayed differentially based on expected social attention. The elements that made them distinctive were based on the protest repertoires, the predominant colors, the slogans used and the way of naming the grievances, allowing to understand a social presentation of emotions.
