We present the results of an exploratory systematic review of the literature on the social uprising in Chile from October 2019 to two years thereafter. This period evidenced a significant effort by the Social Sciences to study this process. We focused on the characteristics of this production and the role of collective memory in the analyses. We used the Hillary Arksey and Lisa O’Malley (2005) framework, conducting searches in databases such as Scopus, WOS, Redalyc, and Google Scholar. A total of 95 articles were selected and subjected to thematic content analysis. The reviewed studies characterize the milestones, actors, and practices of the uprising, providing comprehensive tools to explain its development and offering insights in regional and global contexts. We concluded that the role of the memories of struggles and resistances of the revolt is a topic that has been little addressed in the analyses by the Social Sciences.
