Objective: Analyze effective nursing interventions that reduce acute pain in schoolchildren and adolescents during venipuncture. Methodo: An integrative review was carried out in Pubmed, Scopus, Web of Science, Virtual Health Library and Cuiden. Critical analysis was conducted according to CASPe guidelines, and 34 articles were selected. Results: Seven strategies, classified as pharmacological, cognitive-behavioral, emotional and sensitive, were identified for reducing pain during venipuncture in schoolchildren and adolescents. Conclusion: The various nursing strategies to manage acute pain during venipuncture allow nursing professionals to select the most appropriate intervention considering the available resources, age and characteristics of each school child or adolescent.
