Objective: Describe the perception of students and graduates of the support received from the “Nursing Student Support Program” (PAEE). Methods: Qualitative research, descriptive approach, case study design. 11 interviews were carried out with students and graduates who participated in the PAEE, the results of which were analyzed through content analysis. Results: PAEE is attributed a safe space that contributes to developing skills on a personal and professional level. They highlight the teacher/tutor with com-munication skills, knowledge of institutional networks, and genuine interest in student well-being, which strengthens their perception of belonging to the academic unit, projecting the care received to their professional practice. Conclusions: The PAEE can be a strategy that contributes to the humanization of training, where mentoring points to comprehensive development. The training of teachers in tutorial support, mental health and strengthening working conditions and physical space is necessary.
