The article examines the social life of three pioneering Pentecostal magazines in Chile, which circulated between the 1910s and 1920s: Chile Evang & eacute;lico, Chile Pentecostal and Fuego de Pentecost & eacute;s. It is based on the premise that these publications not only represent documentary sources, which can be consulted by religious scholars to "extract" information for their specific research, but that they can be conceived as "cultural artifacts" with agency, which articulate relationships, knowledge, religious experiences and individual and/or collective trajectories in various spaces, being indispensable allies of the Pentecostal movement born from the Revival of 1909. Thus, the generalized perspective on the Pentecostalism as a purely oral phenomenon to academically address the place of printed culture in its historical development. Starting from the intersection between publishing history and the sociology of religious merchandise, the socio-historical conditions of production, communication circuits and the symbolic markings inscribed in their materiality are contextualized. The proposed relational view stresses a structural view around the conflictive processes of institutionalization of the Chilean Pentecostal churches with the editorial practices carried out by the social agents who participated in the editorial projects studied. Theoretical-methodological commitment that can contribute to finding new analytical perspectives to the large corpus of existing studies on the Chilean and Latin American Pentecostal world.
