This study is based on the premise that the press in the United States, within the imperialist context of the country, mediated the Tacna and Arica conflict between 1900 and 1929, constructing a transnational space of journalistic discourses that contributed to the formation of national imaginaries about Chile and Peru. Given this proposition, the objective of the ar ticle is to raise a theoretical explanatory model for the circulation of information from Tacna-Arica to a transnational space (United States-Chile-Peru). The conclusions establish a link with some technical procedures that will help work with hemerographic sources while also highlighting some limitations of the model.
