When children or young people, who can be considered potential graphic artists, dedicate themselves to performing figurative art (drawing, painting, illustrating), they do so first of all in a self-taught way. Then, when they are interested and intend to improve, they pay attention to the technical factors that may or may not be taught in formal education. The problem occurs when, during the training period, the interests of any potential graphic artist are not satisfied with what is within reach, either because they do not have the prior skills to unite them with their own technical expertise at the time they arrive. ; or the necessary ones are not taught at the time they should, so that potential artists obtain observable improvements in their artistic performances. A qualitative study is carried out in which the effectiveness of a proposal that is characterized by the use of limited material and the paradox of choice is investigated. The conclusion has been that potential graphic artists between 10 and 17 years old perceived that they improved their level by knowing what they could achieve with library materials defined by the teacher, in periods of 4 hours or less.
