The paper proposes the need to investigate the city of Santiago de Chile in the 17th century as a Court. This perception of the city as a Court would be generated fundamentally through the presence of the Royal Court and the royal seal, a symbol of monarchical majesty. To this end, the existence of contemporary literature that praises the quality of the Court in some cities of the monarchy is shown. Next, the relationship between the royal seal and the symbolic presence of the king is also evidenced to finally show that these same conditions were met in the case of Santiago de Chile in the 17th century. It is concluded that the city should be considered as another royal Court in this monarchy of Courts.
