The purpose of this article is to try and comprehend the fundamentals of kimeltuwvn (pedagogy and teaching) from an integration of the language and in the Chilean context of an Intercultural bilingual education (EIB). The study proposes to achieve this objective with the development of an intercultural methodology of «knowledge dialogue», which will be developed together with Educators of Indigenous language and culture (ELCI) who work in Chilean kindergartens. The results of the article will be exposed with three distinctions. First, a small description of kimeltuwvn as contemplated from the lof (mapuche community), with its different areas of specialization of kimvn of mapuche knowledge. Secondly, a more prolonged exposition of the different kimeltuwvn strategies as applied by the ELCI, working with intercultural processes in Chilean kindergartens. And last, the fundamentals of kimeltuwvn, which we designate as a Local and territorial epistemology, and which can be arranged into two areas: a different epistemological and ontological hierarchy between culture and nature and a process of contextualization and direct experiences.
