The dialogue between art and architecture is a topic that is continually revisited in both academic circles and the field of architecture practice. It is evident that architecture relies on more than just technical knowledge. The methods by which artists explore their work have always sparked interest and curiosity among architects, serving as inspiration for their designs. This inspiration is not limited to issues of materiality and form, as seen in the plastic arts, but also extends to the interaction between body and space, characteristic of the representational arts. This brief outlines an experiment conducted with first-year architecture students aimed at enhancing their understanding of how the body (and bodies) interacts with space. This was achieved through employing tools from the discipline of dance, focusing on the perception of movement and its documentation.
