The objective of this research is to analyze the discursive constructions produced by the magazines of opposition to the civil/military dictatorship in Chile, APSI and An & aacute;lisis, about the Chilean forestry industry during the years 1974 to 1986. Through a qualitative approach, a qualitative methodological model based on Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) is used to analyze the corpus of reports and press releases. The results show weak questioning of the forestry duopoly model, a dual construction of the forest and the persistence of racism through an archaizing and paternalistic vision towards the Mapuche people.
