The article offers a reflection on the world of work based on three literary texts that explore the figure of the woman-seamstress in the 21st century: Advertencias de uso para una maquina de coser by Eugenia Prado Bassi, Trama y urdimbre by Matias Celedon and Job by Nadia Prado. In these texts, sewing is approached as a trade that has in the sewing machine its main signifier and in the word "unspecific" or "out of itself" the enunciative formula of a writing of the feminine that seeks to intervene the social space of the shared common.
