The present paper aims to show that the rehabilitation of the sensible being realized by Merleau-Ponty's philosophy is comprehensible from an originally virtual dimension. For this, a first description of the sensible being is proposed from its constitutive latency, paying attention to the displacement of its definition that goes from what is given to perception towards what comes-to-be in its transappearance. In such a way, the sensible being is not originally pure presence; before that, the sensible being will be understood starting from a process of differentiation between the visible and the invisible. Thus, the sense of the sensible being comes to expression medially, insofar as the sensible is a singularization of an operationally virtual background. Finally, the singularized presence in the experience of the body and of all sensible experience becomes meaningful as a constant actualization of virtual potencies, which open to the world as a permanent overflow, and
