Higher education institutions worldwide, particularly oriented for teacher training, have invested on educational innovation for the impact it brings to the educational system. In the context of a research on educational innovation and the uses and representations of the body with body techniques related to Afro-Brazilian rhythm (macu-lelê), this article presents some practices of Afro-Brazilian expressions implemented in the Comprehensive Training course «Physical Expression with Rhythm» / «Performative Body Laboratory», which aims at developing the generic competencies by the Educational Model of the Bío-Bío University. Are also described in this article the teaching and learning process of conceptual contents such as coor-dination, time-space, body perception, body language and memory, attending to the post-pandemic body.
