The article problematizes about socio-educational factors that affect the teaching-learning of the Mapunzugun indigenous language (Mapuche language) in Mapuche children and young people, who have experienced monolingual schooling processes in Spanish for the cultural and linguistic homogenization developed in the school. The results allow to sustain that the new generations of young Mapuches have raised processes of cultural resistance and resilience practices, to learn their culture and vernacular language with the purpose of transmitting it to the children and young people of the families and communities, from their own education with based on educational methods of indigenous pedagogy and education.
