Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze and describe the physiological profile of a group of young basketball players. Materials and Methods: Through a simple random probabilistic sampling, 25 participants were selected from the Valdivia basketball sports club (age; 19.32±5.4 years). They underwent various physical tests to describe the individual physiological status, ventilatory component analysis, VO2max, Bosco test, Strength profile; maximum dynamic strength (1Rm), explosive strength with load, general resistance variables, and flexibility. Results: The results of this study detail the physiological, biochemical, and performance profile of basketball players in the development phase and analyze their potential for improvement. By evaluating different aspects of health and athletic performance, we can obtain a more complete picture of the physical state and key areas for improvement. Conclusions: These findings can be useful to guide training and nutrition strategies, as well as to identify areas for improvement to raise performance to the level of international high-performance athletes.
