This article explores the current level of implementation of the right to children specialized legal defense in Chile. The first part seeks to characterize the origins and development of the right of specialized legal defense. Later, it focuses on systematizing the main human rights standards applicable to that right in regard to children group. The second part evaluates the level of normative incorporation of the standards previously identified in child involved procedures. To analyze the performance of public policy measures implementing the right to children specialized legal defense. To conclude, this article assesses the implemen tation process of this specific right in light of the evidence gathered throughout this article.
