Industry 4.0 technologies have become one of the main enablers for implementing Circular Economy efforts, creating smart and connected products, processes, and systems that can optimize resource usage, reduce waste, and improve efficiency, with a significant environmental impact. Blockchain is a technology that was initially centered on authentication and security applications. Currently, its utility has extended to solving multiple problems across industries. This paper explores the different applications of the Blockchain related to the circular economy. A systematic literature review method was applied to analyze the main objectives, advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and challenges of implementing Blockchain in various industrial sectors. Results show a growing trend in applications with favorable impacts, especially in sectors like Manufacturing, Energy, and Automotive.
