The COVID-19 pandemic fueled the urgent need to bring healthcare to the virtual realm. Despite advances in digital infrastructure and digital health competencies, challenges persist in the implementation of telehealth services. For a successful transformation toward user-centric digital health, change management, training, digital literacy, technology planning, and knowledge management must be addressed. In this context, it is proposed to update the b-Health model developed by the Telemedicine Unit of the University of Concepción. The new model, b-Health 2.0, incorporates lessons learned from the pandemic, scientific evidence, and empirical knowledge, developing an architecture and methodological guide for the implementation of digital health that include four components: (1) organizational, (2) clinical care, (3) technological, and (4) human. The b-Health 2.0 model considers enabling environmental aspects and combines face-to-face and virtual care to effectively address the healthcare needs of users and their families, especially in remote areas. This optimizes the implementation of digital clinical-care processes, improving access and opportunity to medical care, within a framework of standards that guarantee the quality, security, and reliability of technological, information, and management systems in the field of sustainable digital health.
