This article aims to review some elements of the Marxist discussion on the State that contribute to the study of the contemporary political crisis. For this, a qualitative methodology is used and bibliographic-documentary techniques are used through which the bibliography referring to the Marxist discussion on the State is analyzed. Then, some critical knots of the discussion are presented and some theoretical elements that contribute to the study of the crisis phenomenon are rescued. Finally, the article concludes with a brief final reflection on the analytical potential of the Marxist debate for the study of the political crisis.
