Ozone therapy is a mixture of ozone and oxygen used as a therapeutic method due to its immunological, antimicrobial and oxygenation properties. It has numerous clinical applications, presenting itself as an alternative to the treatment of dermatological conditions such as acne, dermatitis and psoriasis in humans. It can be administered topically, systemically, a combination of both, or associated with other conventional medications, seeking greater effectiveness. The objective of this study is to carry out a systematic review of the referential scientific literature existing in the last ten years, related to the aforementioned skin conditions. It is possible to obtain 16 clinical studies in indexed databases. This review is justified by the search for protocols, effectiveness, safety and evidence that contributes to health professionals to opt for this alternative where conventional treatments have not had the expected results. Ozone therapy is a safe, effective, non-invasive and low-cost alternative. However, the application of ozone in dermatological lesions is still limited by the lack of standardized protocols that allow evaluating its effects in the medium and long term.
