This study is projected as an experimental investigation based on the integration of a method of recording the presence of fog, the optical monitoring system called GOFOS and meteorological data from two weather stations that include the collection of fog water through neblinometers (SFC). 24 and 22 fog events occurred between the months of August to October 2019 were characterized. It was identified for the study area that the fog has a night and morning cycle, and that the highest frequency is in the month of October during the spring. Divergences were observed between the records of the presence of GOFOS and SFC fog for all the months of the study, recognizing that the record of observations has a greater presence of fog than the record of water collection, thus establishing that presence does not represent collection of fog water.
