The following work proposes a reading of modern Venezuelan literature (1900-1940) as a way of positioning from the fictional overflow that radically melts literature with life. Faces with the obsession of the Venezuela positivist discourse to discriminate disciplines and mark the places of social and historical science from the places of fiction, the writers of this period seemed rather to question their assumptions, proposing different ways of overflowing.
