The article integrates narrative, ethnographic, and long-term studies on social movements. It is illustrated through the analysis of the experiences of a Chilean student ex-activist, emphasizing the formation of their vision and practice concerning the precariousness of public education and their long-term mobilization for its defense. The article highlights the relevance of long-term student movements and local specificities in understanding the trajectory of highly heterogeneous social movements.
